National Independent Beer Run Day is observed on July 3, when beer enthusiasts across the nation encourage Americans to purchase craft-made beer prior to Independence Day. This year, many independent beer enthusiasts will raise a glass at their annual celebration. The purpose of the event is to promote independence from imported beers and significant beer industry practises that pose a threat to independent craft producers. This year, the total number of U.S. breweries has reached a record high, providing unprecedented support for the American craft beer industry.
John Wagner, a German immigrant who brought brewing yeast to Philadelphia and brewed the first American lager in 1840, established the modern U.S. beer industry. In 1857, the country’s first significant brewery produced 1,000 barrels; today, Budweiser alone produces more than 100 million barrels annually.
Prior to Prohibition, the majority of American beers were brewed by modest, community-based businesses. In 1933, when Prohibition was repealed, beer companies were also required to be at least partially owned by Americans in order to sell alcohol. Smaller brewers were either acquired or went out of business as a result of the new legal requirements for breweries. Within five years of the repeal of Prohibition, nearly all beer production was controlled by just 50 companies.
After the repeal of Prohibition, beer enthusiasts across the United States celebrated their newfound freedom. It did not take long for Americans to rediscover their passion for beer, or for those who had never abandoned it to begin producing. By 1980, the United States had 42 independent craft breweries.
National Independent Beer Run Day is an unofficial holiday celebrated on July 3 that encourages beer enthusiasts to support local breweries. Brewers Association, the organisation behind American Craft Beer Week and Savour, the American Craft Beer and Food Experience, proclaimed the day on June 26, 2019. National Independent Beer Run Day encourages beer enthusiasts to seek out independent craft beers for Fourth of July celebrations.

This can be accomplished by leaving a comment on this post. Feel free to rate your enjoyment of each beer and encourage others to investigate the world of independent craft beer one sip at a time.
It is a wonderful reason to gather with friends and family. Celebrate independence by stocking up on beer from a small brewery and viewing an independent film.
In ancient Mesopotamia, around 4,000 B.C., the first alcohol was brewed by women known as ‘brewsters.’
The Brewers Association, which represents more than 2,500 U.S. beer manufacturers, reports that only about 250 are owned by large corporations.

Annual sales of over 133 million hectoliters generate global revenues of $294,5 billion.
Beer is the most consumed alcoholic beverage and the third most consumed beverage overall, after water and tea.
