Trozzolo subsequently incorporated Teflon into kitchenware, founding Laboratory Plasticware Fabricators, which introduced the first Teflon-coated frying pan made in the United States, the ‘Happy Pan.’
Today, Teflon can be found in unexpected locations. It is used to coat medical and laboratory equipment, make projectiles, protect aircraft, and for pharmaceutical purposes, among other things. Teflon is used to coat pans, pots and cooking implements in our residences, relieving us of the burden of washing and scrubbing them.
