Teddy Bear Recipes: Teddy bears are traditionally given as a token of love or affection on Teddy Day. But, you don’t have to follow the tried-and-true path; instead, try this recipe for the cutest Teddy Bear-shaped cookies, which are sure to win over your significant other.

Valentine’s Week is in full swing, and both seasoned and new lovers are making special efforts to treat their significant others to a fun time. The week culminates on Valentine’s Day, when couples will either declare their unwavering love and commitment to one another or begin a new romance.

• Put the cake in the fridge for three hours or longer. Use a toothpick to draw the mouth three hours later. Spoon small open star tip nozzle and white whipped cream into piping bag. Fill the inner side of the eyes, inner side of the ears, and the mouth area (avoid the nose).
• Fill the remaining space on the face and ears with a small closed star tip nozzle and blue whipped cream (or any color of your choice) in a piping bag. Ingredients

• 1 cup sugar
• 3/4 cup Butter, softened
• 1 large Egg
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 2 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened baking chocolate, melted

Methods

• Heat oven to 375°F. In a bowl, combine sugar, butter, egg and vanilla in bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed. Add flour, baking powder and salt; beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.
• Divide dough in half. Place half of dough into another bowl; stir in chocolate until well mixed.
• Shape each teddy bear using either vanilla or chocolate dough or a combination for two-toned teddy bears. Shape 1 large (1-inch) ball for body. Place onto ungreased cookie sheet; flatten slightly. Shape 1 medium (3/4-inch) ball for head, 4 small (1/2-inch) balls for arms and legs, 2 smaller balls for ears. Attach head, arms, legs and ears by overlapping slightly onto body. Add small balls for eyes, nose and mouth, if desired. Use fork to make claws on paws.
• Bake 7-8 minutes or until body is set. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to cooling rack. Cool completely. Enjoy with your family, friends and loved ones through this Valentine’s Week and Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients

• 100g chocolate, melted
• 1 x 340g family size pkt Smarties
• 12 x 25g Milky Way Chocolate Bars
• 1x 200g pkt Pascall Licorice Allsorts
• 1x 180g Natural Confectionary Co Licorice sticks
• 1 250g box Tiny Teddies, honey flavour

Method

• Using the melted chocolate as ‘glue’, stick 2 Smarties on each side of the Milky Way Bar for the wheels.
• Glue one 1/2 square of Licorice Allsorts onto the top of the Milky Way.
• Cut a Tiny Teddy off at the waist and glue onto the top of the train.
• Cut a licorice sticks in half crossways and glue on the front of the train as the steam spout.

Teddy bear toast

Ingredients

• 2 slices wholemeal or white bread
• 2 tbsp peanut butter (you can replace this with Sweet William Chocolate Spread in case of nut allergies)
• 6 banana slices

• 6 raisins

Method

• Toast the bread.
• Spread with peanut butter.
• Add banana slices for the ears and nose.
• Place the raisins on each slice for the eyes and in the centre of the banana nose.

Gummy bear ice blocks

Ingredients

• 1 packet gummy bear lollies

• 1 cup lemonade

Method

• Divide your gummy bears up into colours.
• Pour the lemonade into a jug.
• Place 6-8 gummy bears (one of each colour) into the ice block moulds. Pour over lemonade to the top of the mould and freeze overnight.
