Dr Chris Kammer created Root Canal Appreciation Day in 2005 to raise awareness about the significance of dental care. In 2004, he performed an original rap song titled ‘Get Out the cleanse’ at the Madison Mallards collegiate league ballpark to encourage people to cleanse their teeth. In 2011, he auditioned for American Idol with the same song.

Indicators of a damaged pulp include swelling or a sensation of heat in the gums or discomfort in the affected tooth.
