We often neglect to take time for our peace of mind because the world in which we live is so fast-paced and we are so caught up in our busy schedules and unfinished to-do lists.

Innergize Day, which falls on September 24 this year, gives us the ideal opportunity to do so. If you never have time to unwind and rejuvenate, you have no justification on a day designed for that purpose. Today is the finest day to do whatever brings you serenity and joy.

The background of Innergize Day

We often neglect to take time for our peace of mind because the world in which we live is so fast-paced and we are so caught up in our busy schedules and unfinished to-do lists. Innergize day is the ideal occasion to unwind and ignore your worries, if only for a day. This is the best time to have some self-reflection, and just do whatever makes you sincerely happy.

Innergize Day, which falls on September 23 this year, is well-timed, as it occurs the day after autumn begins. Autumn provides a pleasant balance between the warm summer air and the cool winter evenings, acting as a transitional period between the two. This season, known as autumn in North American English, is characterized by tranquil sunsets, mild weather, and rebirth. This also applies to Innergize day, which provides a period of rest and introspection to renew the mind, body, and spirit.

Inner Dimensions’ Michelle Porchia designed the day. Michelle is a life coach, consultant, speaker, and trainer with over 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors. She has developed and produced seminars, led workshops, and interacted with both public and private sector individuals. Through coaching and training, she founded Inner Dimensions LLC to delve into the inner strengths of each individual.

Do not squander the day on activities that leave you feeling less than your best. It’s all about you, so indulge in activities that you normally never have enough time for but would enjoy if you had more time in your schedule.

5 Meditation Facts You Wish You Knew Earlier

Multiple studies have demonstrated that regular meditation can increase cortical thickness in the brain and grey matter in the hippocampus, which plays a crucial role in memory and learning.

Meditation induces relaxation, which stimulates the production of nitric oxide in the brain, lowers blood pressure, and decreases the production of cytokines, thereby reducing stress.

Wake Forest Baptist University research indicates that meditation can reduce the intensity of pain by 40% and the unpleasantness of pain by a whopping 57%, whereas morphine and comparable painkillers reduce pain by only about 25%.

The author of “Urban Monk: Eastern Wisdom and Modern Hacks to Stop Time and Find Success, Happiness, and Peace” asserts that being consistent with short bursts of meditation is far more effective than inconsistent longer periods of time meditating, and that it only takes 10 to 20 minutes per day to begin noticing differences.

Multiple studies have found that meditation plays a significant role in assisting individuals to overcome their addictions.
