National Child Protection Week 2023: Date, History, Facts about Child Abuse

National Child Protection Week (N.C.P.W.) is observed throughout Australia each September as part of a nationwide initiative to protect children from abuse and neglect. The background of National Child Protection Week

Australia’s National Association for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN) has coordinated the National Child Protection Week (NCPW) campaign with the authorities and child protection advocacy groups for the past 30 years. Similar programmes exist in other nations, including New Zealand and South Africa. This initiative aims to raise awareness of child maltreatment and aid in its prevention.
