Cleopatra, who governed the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt between 51 and 30 B.C., practised a form of manicure, according to reports.
In recent years, and notably during the 20th century, manicures have been particularly popular in Europe. In 1975, the French perfected and invented a specific type of manicure known as the French manicure because they cherished the practise so much. Today, millions of individuals visit spas and salons to extend their toes, file their feet, trim their toenails, and polish them.
The celebration and holiday have received so much attention that salons and spas now provide discounts and special offers on manicures and pedicures. Additionally, demand for the services of manicurists and pedicurists increases on this day. It is always a win-win situation for everyone involved in the commemoration of the day.
