His mother was a licenced hairdresser who operated a salon from their residence, while his father was a beauty distributor who owned 26 stores. He was acutely aware of the requirements of professional hairdressers.

In the latter half of 2014, the patented constituent developed by Dr. Hawker was introduced to the hair industry. It allowed hairdressers to repair damaged hair while also being able to experiment with hair colouring, obtaining results that would have been impossible without it.
