This holiday commemorates the adoption of the UNESCO Recommendation on the Status of Teachers in 1966. It specifies the rights and responsibilities of instructors with regard to their initial preparation, continuing education, recruitment, employment, and learning conditions.
Nearly everyone has a beloved teacher who went above and beyond to encourage them because they saw their potential. The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) established World Teachers’ Day as a global event in 1994. It is celebrated on October 5.
Perhaps, like Matilda had Ms. Honey, Harry had Dumbledore, and Cady had Ms. Norbury, you are a teacher who works tirelessly to help young people learn and develop. Given that instructors shape future generations, it is the least we can do to say “thank you” annually. Today, wherever you are in the world, remember that instructors are important! Educators from around the world fund students’ education so that you can become one of them. This World Teachers’ Day, locate a scholarship that meets your educational requirements.
