Tim stated that his eldest daughter was a gift from God because she was a daughter, wife, mother, teacher, friend, singer, and a God-lover.

Mrs. Dobie, a teacher at West Jessamine High School, was the Teacher of the Year in 2020. Mike, an educator at East Jessamine Middle School who was well-known among students for his participation in the annual Mat ball competition, is survived by his wife and their children.
