Shannen Doherty divorce: Shannen Doherty, an actress best known for her roles on the hit television series “Charmed” and “Beverly Hills, 90210,” has filed for divorce from Kurt Iswarienko after 11 years of marriage.
Shannen never desired a divorce, according to a statement released via email on Saturday by her publicist, Leslie Sloane. Sadly, she believed she had no other options.
Doherty, who is 52 years old, disclosed at the start of 2020 that she was battling a stage four breast cancer recurrence, which she described as “a bitter pill to swallow.”
“There are times when I ask myself, ‘Why me?'” Then I ask myself, “Well, why not me?” One more? Who else merits this in addition to me? Doherty stated on “Good Morning America” that none of us engage in the activity.
In 2015, the performer first disclosed her breast cancer diagnosis to the public. She has documented her treatment on social media since then.
Doherty stated in a blog post on Friday, “The only people who deserve to be in your life are those who treat you with love, kindness, and complete respect.” Doherty did not discuss his divorce in this post.
In October 2021, a federal jury in Los Angeles awarded Doherty $6.3 million after hearing her claim that her insurance company, State Farm, had underpaid for damage to her property caused by a 2018 California wildfire. The jury determined that the inability of Doherty’s Malibu home to receive insurance benefits was “unreasonable and without proper cause.”
Sloane, Doherty’s publicist, suggested contacting Collier Grimm, Iswarienko’s agency, for additional information in her statement. Grimm did not respond promptly to our request for comment.
