Amazon Expands Grocery Services to Non-Prime Members: Check Details Here

Furthermore, the firm announced that it will be continuing its support of Feeding America during the holidays.

Amazon Expands Grocery Services: Whether or not a client is a Prime member, Amazon has extended free grocery delivery and pickup to all customers in cities where Amazon Fresh stores and online services are available.

Additionally, the business is enabling customers to place delivery orders through the Amazon platform from other grocery stores and retailers. Among them are the supermarket companies Save Mart, Weis Markets, and Bristol Farms.

Strangely, Amazon claimed that Whole Foods Market, which it owns, had not yet completely introduced its non-Prime customer service. However, the business announced that more than 3,500 Whole Foods stores around the US will soon provide this service.

This action comes after the programme was introduced by the company earlier this year in a 12-city test project.

Amazon Expands Grocery Services

As Kiplinger previously noted, food producers, supermarkets, and restaurants have been stepping up their efforts to attract and keep more discerning customers with deals and discounts as food prices continue to rise, albeit more slowly at the moment.

Walmart stated on its second-quarter earnings call in August of last year that it will keep rolling back food prices, which have been greater than they were the previous year, since they are effective.

Customers who purchase a yearly Prime membership at Amazon for $139 have noticed some changes this year. For orders under $150, the business increased the cost of Amazon Fresh delivery for Prime members in January. For members, the service was free with orders above $150.

Yet in October, the corporation reduced the total order amount from $150 to $100 “as the company looks to boost its fresh-food business,” as per a Bloomberg story published on October 5.

Less than a week ago, Amazon revealed that its One Medical division will provide Prime members with on-demand virtual healthcare service for $9 per month or $99 per year. This announcement coincides with the grocery service’s extension to non-Prime members.

Furthermore, the firm announced that it will be continuing its support of Feeding America during the holidays.
