Daltonganj: All medical officers in charge of the community health centres in Palamu have been directed by Civil Surgeon Dr Anil Kumar to press in their Sahiyas to locate cases of fever with rashes and other symptoms among the residents in their respective areas of duty amid the Monkeypox scare across the country.
Civil surgeon Dr Anil Kumar said “I have directed my medical officers in charge of all the community health centres to deploy Sahiyas for locating cases of fever with rashes immediately. This is our active surveillance for detection of any case of fever with rashes or other eruptions on the skin.”
The medical officers in charge have been asked to send day-to-day reports in this regard.

Similarly, for 42 panchayats in Hussainabad, a fleet of 272 Sahiyas have been entrusted with the task, according to Dr Ratnesh Kumar who is the medical officer in charge of the sub-divisional hospital Hussainabad.
At the Daltonganj-based Medinirai Medical College Hospital, an alert has been sounded for symptoms of fever and rashes.
Civil surgeon Dr Anil Kumar said, “This is our acute and active surveillance all not to miss any case as there is enough hype about the monkeypox where residents’ support and cooperation are most solicited.”
