Anthony Fauci Branded ‘Fraud’: Dr. Anthony Fauci was blasted online after he was confronted by a CNN host with a study demonstrating face masks made little to no difference amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Anthony Stephen Fauci was the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and is a physician-scientist and immunologist. On Saturday, conservative critics attacked the former White House chief medical adviser for failing to refute the significance of the study. However, he did cite other research demonstrating the effectiveness of face coverings in preventing the spread of the virus.
“When you’re talking about the effect on the epidemic or pandemic as a whole, the data are less strong,” Fauci acknowledged to CNN’s Michael Smerconish. “However, there are other studies, Michael, that indicate on an individual level that they may be protective,” he said.
Fauci also emphasised that “we are not currently discussing forcing anyone to do anything.” In spite of this, he confronted a barrage of negative comments on social media, primarily from Republican lawmakers and conservative pundits.

Anthony Fauci branded ‘fraud’ after admitting masks did not protect from COVID

“Fauci concedes that masks do not work for the general public, but absurdly maintains that masks do work for individuals. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, “More deception.”
“This is incredible. According to Fauci, masks function at the individual level but not on the pandemic level. It makes logic,” co-host of the TRIGGERnometry podcast Konstantin Kisin said.
Clay Travis, host of Outkick, tweeted, “Holy s*** @cnn just directly confronted Dr. Fauci on air with bulletproof scientific evidence that masks do not function at all. It took only three years, but at last!”
“Fauci was confronted with the most conclusive data analysis conceivable demonstrating that masks have ZERO effect on Covid. Not even a small amount; Zero. And he merely utters some mathematically illiterate nonsense about ‘individual protection.’ Conservative commentator Buck Sexton characterised him as a charlatan and a liar.
“It’s really hard to presume Fauci’s disastrous ‘mistakes’ were in good faith when he refuses to acknowledge obvious facts that don’t require a PhD to decipher. It appears that ‘TRUST THE SCIENCE!’ only applies when it fits Fauci’s personal or political narrative, according to Cliff Sims, a former senior White House and US Intelligence Community official.
