Bantwal, Jul 17: A man died of electric shock after coming in contact with a coil before taking bath in a bathroom in Brahmarakottlu.
The deceased has been identified as Hemachandra (49), a resident of Neerumarga and was living in a rented house near Chandrige in Pariyodibeedu of Brahmarakottlu.
Hemachandra’s wife’s house was in Chandrige while the couple lived in a rented house nearby in Pariyodibeedu and both were commuting to Mangaluru for work.
Hemachandra had returned from work and had gone to take bath when this incident occurred.
When wife knocked on the bathroom door repeatedly and did not get any response from husband Hemachandra, she broke open the bathroom door out of anxiety only to find her man lying on the floor with his hands in the bucket.
The wife realized that her husband had come in contact with the electric coil and died of electric shock.
