This week marks the conclusion of the Titans' preseason, and it remains to be seen whether he will make the team's 53-man roster for the regular season.
Caleb Farley Parents: Robert Farley, the father of Tennessee Titans cornerback Caleb Farley, passed away on Tuesday, August 22. According to reports, the 61-year-old died after a suspected gas leak explosion at his Mooresville, North Carolina suburban residence.
Another person with non-life-threatening injuries was recovered from the scene and transported to a local hospital. Caleb was not at home at the time of the detonation, but he was on the property Tuesday morning speaking with officials.
The lakeside residence of Caleb, as captured on film, had been reduced to ruin. Reportedly, Robert was discovered beneath the ruins in an area that was one of the bedrooms in the recently purchased home by the NFL star.
Robin Farley’s Cause of Death: What Has Caleb Farley Said About His Mother’s Death?
Caleb Farley Parents: This is not the first time that Caleb’s family has suffered a terrible calamity. His mother Robin passed away on January 2, 2018, after a battle with breast cancer.
Robin and Robert reportedly met at Maiden High School and were high school sweethearts. They wed in 1987 and were married for thirty years before Robin’s passing.
Caleb often attributes his ability to persevere through life’s adversities to the faith instilled in him by his late mother. In 2021, he told ESPN that his mother’s death brought him closer to God: “When I saw my mother go through that and believe that she could be healed, only to have it return and murder her, it initially shook my faith. But I believe that you must serve the Lord in both happy and bad times. I determined that I would have faith in God. I would be completely lost without him.”
Joshua, the older brother of Caleb Farley, was born in 1989. He was a track and field athlete at Appalachian State University.
Since March 2022, according to his LinkedIn profile, Joshua has been a senior project manager at HIMSS. He was previously employed by Bank of America.
Caleb Farley was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. However, the defensive back has yet to establish himself in the major division.
Due to injury, Farley competed in only three games during his rookie season. In 2012, he played in nine games for the Titans before a herniated disk in his back sidelined him for the duration of the season. The cornerback has recorded 14 tackles and one pass breakup in 12 NFL appearances.
Due to a back injury, Farley is presently listed as physically unable to perform. This week marks the conclusion of the Titans’ preseason, and it remains to be seen whether he will make the team’s 53-man roster for the regular season.
