Cassie Troyer Obituary: On the evening of August 25, 2023, Casey Jordan Troyer, a beloved member of the Granger community, passed away at the age of 37.
He was born in Goshen on August 18, 1986, and throughout his life, he exuded a vibrant spirit, an unwavering love for his family, and a variety of passions that brought joy to all who knew him.
Those closest to Casey will always retain a special place in their hearts for his memory. His devoted wife, Ashley, and their son, Augustine “Gus” Troyer, survive him. Along with them, he leaves behind two stepdaughters who were integral to his life’s journey: Madison Filley and Bella Filley.
Casey’s parents, Steven C. Troyer of Union, Michigan, and Dilynn (Greg) Puckett of Middlebury, were instrumental in his upbringing and cherished every moment spent together.
Casey had a special and loving relationship with his sibling, Trevor Troyer of Elkhart, and two stepsisters, Andrea Puckett of Brooklyn, NY, and Amber (Jason) Miller of Middlebury, based on shared experiences and mutual affection.
Casey’s existence was enriched by the presence of his two Middlebury-based grandmothers, Jolinda Zook and Ruby Puckett. In addition, he shared his warmth and affection with five nieces and nephews, establishing meaningful relationships that brought him happiness.
A Journey Defined by Accomplishments and Dedication Dedication to Education and Profession
Casey’s voyage was characterised by a desire for knowledge and success. His undergraduate degree is from Butler University, and his law degree is from Indiana University, Bloomington. His superior intelligence and caring disposition made him an ideal RV salesman for Forest River RV.
Casey’s vivacious personality left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He enjoyed athletics, especially golf, basketball, and volleyball. As a competent guitarist, his musical abilities shone through. His feline companions, Claude and Julie, brought him moments of relaxation and joy.
On the lake, Casey and his siblings and nephews created cherished memories that demonstrated their close relationship. Their relationship will endure eternally in their hearts.
Visitation will be held at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home on August 29, followed by funeral services and interment at Miller 8 Square Cemetery in Goshen.
