Chief Justice of India Justice N.V Ramana arrives in Ranchi today 

Chief Justice of India (CJI) Justice N V Ramana inaugurated the Sub-Divisional Court at Chandil in Saraikela-Kharsawan district Sub-Divisional Court at Nagar Untari in Garhwa on Saturday virtually from Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Auditorium in the Judicial Academy premises in Dhurwa through online mode.

The inauguration was done before the CJI delivered Justice S B Sinha Inaugural Lecture for which he was invited.

The programme was organized by Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority (JHALSA), Ranchi Judicial Academy Jharkhand & National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi.

A section of Jharkhand High Court judges including chief justice Dr Ravi Ranjan, Justice Apresh Kumar, Justice S Chandrashekhar Justice S N Prasad and Rongan Mukhopadhyay Singh besides students of NUSRL and a section of senior officers of CCL including CMD P M Prasad were present on the occasion. Wife of Justice S B Sinha Sinha, son of Justice S.B. Sinha Indrajeet Sinha were also present.

Earlier, the CJI was offered a traditional welcome on the Judicial Academy premises. He was also made aware of the history of the Jharkhand High Court through a documentary film.
