What have the parents of Chris Watts to say regarding the murders?

Ronnie and Cindy Watts, the parents of their son, provided police with statements concerning the assassination of their son as well as his wife and two daughters, Celeste, 3, and Bella, 4.

Their shared conviction was that their son was blameless, and Chris was adamantly opposed to confessing to “something he did not do.”

Cindy stated at the time to KMGH, “I asked Chris, ‘If you did not do this, do not confess to something you didn’t do,’”

Ronnie, his father, further expressed his view: “If he didn’t kill the children, I want him to face that and let them prove it.”

Chris allegedly requested a conversation with Ronnie regarding the murder immediately prior to making his confession to the authorities.

FBI Special Agent Grahm Coder granted Ronnie one final opportunity to speak with his son; according to some, this was a crucial factor in Chris confessing to the murders of his family.

Cindy allegedly could not believe that her son, who had confessed to committing the heinous crime, could have done so.

She reminded the media that her son  “not a sociopath.”

“He’s not a sociopath. He’s not a psychopath.” Cindy reported to the media outlet.

She further requested Chris to refrain from confessing if he truly did not commit the act and stated that her son accepted the plea bargain in order to preserve his life.

Cindy and Chris’s wife Shannan reportedly had disagreements, and his parents disapproved of their relationship, according to reports.

It appears that Cindy and Ronnie were absent from their nuptials and disapproved of the couple’s choice to relocate from North Carolina to Colorado in order to begin a new life.
