NBA player Damian Lillard is divorcing his longstanding partner and the mother of his three children, Kay’La, after two years of marriage. On October 2, Lillard presumably filed for divorce in Oregon.

The former couple has been together since their days as Weber State University students, despite their September 2021 wedding. Damian received his college diploma in May of 2015. In recent years, Damian and Kay’La have had three children.

Willamette Week was the first to report their divorce. According to court documents filed in Clackamas County, the couple has been residing apart for approximately one year.

Kay’La reportedly resided in a West Linn home worth $2.7 million between December 2022 and September of this year. Currently, she is said to reside in Tualatin. Meanwhile, Damian Lillard remained in the $7.7 million property they had previously shared.

The couple also executed a “valid and enforceable Premarital Agreement” on August 30, 2021, according to The Oregonian.

The divorce announcement comes days after Lillard was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks after 11 years with the Portland Trail Blazers.”The casuals will not be addressed, but the Trailblazers fans and the city of Portland, whom I genuinely love, will be… and they will be addressed honestly. According to reports, NBA player Damian Lillard has filed for divorce from his wife, KayLaLillard. The committed couple, who wed in 2021, met in college and share three children. The divorce action was filed mere days after Damian’s trade to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Unknown is the reason for the divorce, but the petition asserts “irreconcilable differences” led to the “irreparable dissolution of their marriage.”

Damian’s most recent Instagram posts have been noticeably absent of Kay’La. Several commenters on his blog posts have inquired about his wife.

On July 15, he uploaded a birthday celebration dump containing images and videos of himself, his children, and individuals who appeared to be acquaintances and family. It does not appear that Kay’La is mentioned in the post. His caption proclaimed,

Mother’s Day inspired his most recent upload, which included Kay’La, on May 14.

Damian has posted to his Instagram Story multiple times in the preceding twenty-four hours, but none of them have addressed the news of his divorce. The athlete was transferred to the Milwaukee Bucks last week after spending eleven years with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Willamette Weeks reports that he is currently at training camp. We were unable to locate an active Instagram account for Kay’La.
