Denny Laine Cause of Death

Denny Laine Cause of Death: Denny Laine, guitarist for the rock band Wings and co-founder of The Moody Blues, died on December 5, 2023. He was 79 years old. Paul McCartney and Mary J. Blige were just two of the many famous artists he worked with. He was also a very busy and flexible singer.

He was also a part of the Moody Blues’ entry into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018. How did he die? That’s the question. Here’s what we know so far.

Denny Laine Cause of Death

Laine died because of the effects of the COVID-19 virus that he got in March 2022, according to his wife Elizabeth Hines. He got over the virus in five days, but after that he had a lot of problems, like a blood infection from germs and a collapsed lung that needed surgery.

After being in and out of hospitals since July 2023, he was finally let out of NCH Baker Hospital in Naples, Florida, on September 21, 2023.

He then moved to a recovery center in the hopes of getting back the strength and skill he needed to play the guitar again. He made some improvement, but on December 5, 2023, his health finally gave out.

A way to raise money for medical costs

Laine couldn’t pay the huge hospital bills that piled up after he died because he didn’t have health insurance. His wife set up a GoFundMe page on September 22, 2023, to help pay for his hospital costs and long-term care.

On the website for collecting money, she wrote, “I’m asking for financial help to get Denny the medical care and time to heal he needs.” At this point, he needs to put his health first.

Gypsy Den’s safe return by his birthday, October 29, is the most important thing to us. The effort had raised about $20,000 out of its $100,000 goal as of December 6, 2023.

Band On the Run, Paul McCartney’s well-reviewed record on which Laine co-wrote songs and played guitar, came out almost 50 years ago today. Laine died the next day after the record came out. A lot of Laine’s friends and coworkers talked about how talented he was and how important he was in interviews and social media posts.

When McCartney heard that his old friend Denny Laine had died, he posted about his sadness on Twitter. He was great as a person and as an artist. He will always be important to me because of the great times we had in Wings.

Hey Denny, may you rest in peace. In January 2024, there will be a memorial show in London to remember Laine. Many artists, including McCartney, will honor him by singing his songs.
