This time, a barber from Leeds claims Carey received a haircut in his establishment without paying for it.
Did Alex Carey Forget To Pay For His Haircut: Alex Carey, who the English media refer to as the “Ashes villain” due to a controversial stumping incident involving Jonny Bairstow, is once again in the news. This time, a barber from Leeds claims Carey received a haircut in his establishment without paying for it.
According to a report from The Sun, Carey and his companions David Warner and Usman Khawaja visited Doc Barnet’s Barber Shop in Leeds. While Warner and Khawaja posed for photographs and paid for their haircuts, Carey declined to pose and departed without paying.
Adam Mahmood, the barber, reported that Carey claimed he lacked currency and promised to wire the money instead. Carey has not yet transferred the thirty pounds owed for the haircut.
Mahmood added that Carey could have returned to the store in less than five minutes with currency from the nearby ATM. Carey instead stated that he would conduct a bank transfer.
By Monday, Adam Mahmood expects Alex Carey to pay for the haircut. During the same interview, Mahmood gave Carey the benefit of the doubt, speculating that he may have neglected to pay because of the ongoing match. However, the barber anticipates being paid by the conclusion of the Headingley Test.
As Alex Carey prepares for the fourth Ashes test, Australia maintains a 2-1 lead over England in the series. With two matches remaining, the competition remains fierce and both teams are determined to win.
As the fourth test approaches, all eyes are on Carey, the Australian wicketkeeper, and his performance. He will be instrumental in contributing to his team’s success and maintaining their series lead.
Fans and cricket enthusiasts anxiously anticipate the upcoming matches to see how Carey and the rest of the Australian team perform against the English. The victor of the highly anticipated Ashes series will be determined by the outcome of these matches.
