Driverless Buses Roll Into the Magic: If you frequently visit downtown Orlando and dread driving through the congested streets, we have some thrilling news for you. Orlando is introducing an interesting new mode of transport.

Orlando’s Futuristic Adventure: Driverless Buses Roll Into the Magic!

Swan is the world’s first completely autonomous bus. Beep and the city of Orlando have partnered to provide an innovative mode of urban public transport. Beep is a cutting-edge transportation company that designs and manufactures public and private transports that are friendly to the environment.

Each Beep shuttle is completely electric and automated. On August 20, 2023, Orlando will debut one of the transports produced by the autonomous vehicle company with whom the city has collaborated.

The new shuttle, which will be called the Swan Shuttle, was unveiled at a luncheon by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Orange County Mayor Jerry Demmings. The white minibus will transport you on a 15-minute ride around Creative Village’s main street. In addition, there will be no cost associated with it!

The city intends to test the concept of a self-driving bus with a single shuttle at first, but will ultimately expand the programme to include tourist corridors and areas near major amusement parks.

Regarding the potential impact of tourism on the city, Mayor Demmings stated, “Consider the prospects…not only of having Beep and driverless cars downtown, but also along our International Drive corridor.” I believe that will work out extremely well.

Soon, autonomous vehicles may begin operating in the “theme park district” of the city. We are anxious to evaluate the Swan Shuttle. I must confess that not all visits to Universal Studios include a stay at one of the resort hotels.

Instead of coping with the chaotic (and expensive) parking situation at Universal, we’re looking forward to taking advantage of the park’s complimentary shuttle service, which will also reduce our environmental impact.
