Escaped Prisoner Triggers Runaway Alert in Miami-Dade County: Recently, the county of Miami-Dade witnessed an enormous search operation. Multiple law enforcement agencies were on the watch for Joshua Thompson, 32, a wanted fugitive. The search was conducted with vigour on Friday and Saturday.

According to Doral Police Department spokesperson Cmdr. Alicia Neal, a prisoner managed to escape. The Miami-Dade Police Department’s Detective Angel Rodriguez identified the escaped prisoner as a Florida Department of Corrections inmate.

At approximately 5 p.m., an inmate escaped from the Miami North Community Release Centre, located at 7040 NW 41 Street. According to Rodriguez, corrections counsellors suspected that Thompson was heading towards the vicinity of Northwest 85 Avenue and 33 Street.

Officers believed they had located Thompson behind a building in the area in response. A perimeter was established with the assistance of Doral police officers, MDPD canines, and a helicopter. Despite these attempts, Thompson was able to evade apprehension.
