Florida Lottery Awards $1 Million Jackpot to Lucky Winner: The Florida Lottery’s “$1,000,000 a Year for Life Spectacular” scratch-off game has made another person a millionaire. A 69-year-old man from Panama City named Glen Thaxton won $1 million in a $50 scratch-off game. Thaxton chose to get his gains all at once, in the amount of $640,000, instead of getting them every year.

Thaxton bought the winning ticket at the Front Beach Road Foot Mart in Panama City Beach. For selling the winning ticket, the store will also get an extra $2,000 in fee.

The scratch-off game “$1,000,000 a Year for Life Spectacular” came out in February. It has two grand winners of $1 million a year for life. There are 234 gifts of $1 million up for grabs. Along with the jackpot, the game has over $1.6 billion in cash prizes. It’s 1 in 4.50 chances to win any prize in the game.
