White Neighbour Kills Black Woman Through Front Door: According to civil rights attorney Ben Crump, a white neighbour in Florida shot and mugged a Black mother of four attempting to retrieve her child’s stolen iPad. Monday, Crump criticised the lack of progress made in bringing those responsible for the “unjust killing” of 35-year-old Ajike “AJ” Owens to justice.

At a Monday afternoon press conference, Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods was more circumspect, telling reporters that the shooting appeared to be the culmination of a dispute between the neighbours. According to Woods, law enforcement officials were required to respond “six to eight” times to this location in the past two and a half years.

Before the tragic incident, the shooter had thrown a pair of skates towards Owens’ children, but he was unable to corroborate that Owens was attempting to retrieve an iPad when she was killed. He stated that he would be extremely furious if someone threw something at his child. Clearly, every parent would be. Who wouldn’t be annoyed by that, whether or not it was intentionally thrown?

I wish the gunman had contacted us before we were forced to use force. I wish Mrs Owens had contacted us so that the situation would not have escalated to this point. Woods stated that the hacker was “cooperative” but did not disclose her identity. Noting that not all of the children who witnessed the incident had yet been questioned, he urged the community to be patient while the investigation continued.

He stated, “We’re not heartless thugs; we won’t interview children on the night they may have witnessed the murder of their mother.” Just wait for the moment. Experts and counsellors will sit down with them, but I want them to know that my office will do everything possible to bring about justice.

According to neighbours who spoke with the Ocala Star-Banner, the incident occurred while children were playing in the lawn in front of a duplex in the development. They claimed that a woman departed one of the apartments, threw something at the children, and then picked up an iPad before returning inside.

Mrs. Owens was immediately fired through the door. Upon completion of the investigation, he stated that it would be forwarded to the state attorney’s office in Marion County. Multiple sh00tings involving individuals who appeared to be in the wrong place or acting inappropriately have occurred in recent weeks.

While returning from a competition in Texas, two cheerleaders were shot, one fatally, when one of them opened the door of a vehicle she mistook for her own. Ralph Yarl, a 16-year-old African-American, was shot and wounded in Kansas City after calling on the incorrect door while attempting to retrieve his siblings. Each of the three suspects has been apprehended and charged.
