The incident occurred at 11:45 a.m. near Southwest 288th Street and Florida’s Turnpike at the popular Latin-Caribbean restaurant located at 3094 NE 41st Place.

In less than an hour, the Homestead police were able to locate and halt the stolen truck due to their prompt response. They discovered it near Southwest 155th Avenue and 302nd Street in the Leisure City neighbourhood.

The suspect, identified as a 28-year-old man from southwest Miami-Dade named Jossmar Perez Lazo, was promptly apprehended. Interestingly, the vehicle still contained undeliverable goods.

After his arrest, the Westchester resident Perez Lazo chose to remain mute. Grand larceny charges have landed him in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Centre with a $5,000 bond.
