Gamescom 2023 schedule: Gamescom: Opening Night Live is almost here, marking the beginning of five days of enormous new video game announcements and news.

The official Gamescom 2023 schedule begins today with gamescom: Opening Night Live 2023! The Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023 live coverage is already well underway. As one of the largest events on the video game calendar, we’re excited to see what the tens of thousands of developers and publishers showcasing the new games of 2023 and beyond have in store.

Xbox’s announcement that it would be hosting a larger exhibit in the consumer areas of Gamescom gave the event’s schedule a notable boost. Here, you’ll be able to view exclusive theater presentations of games such as Starfield and Forza Motorsport and play upcoming Xbox Series X games such as Stalker 2 and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

Gamescom 2023 will feature five days of exclusive presentations, massive revelations, and hands-on opportunities with some of the most anticipated upcoming PS5 and PC games. As previously mentioned, Opening Night Live will return to start off Gamescom 2023, with producer Geoff Keighley teasing news and reveals. The Future titles Show, the GamesRadar+ flagship digital showcase, will also be present, promising world premieres and new trailers for some of your most anticipated upcoming titles.

What is the 2023 Gamescom?

Gamescom is an annual video game convention held in Cologne, Germany. Gamescom, unlike E3, is open to the public, allowing attendees to obtain some of the most anticipated PS5 and Xbox Series X titles. This year’s Gamescom is expected to be one of the largest ever, with exhibitors from 60 different countries exhibiting their products on a gross exhibition space of 230,000 square meters. The return of Geoff Keighley’s Opening Night Live and GamesRadar’s Future Games Show are among the other events taking place on the convention floor.

Gamescom 2023 will take place from Wednesday, August 23 to Sunday, August 27. Before the Koelnmesse opens its doors to the general public for the remaining four days, the showfloor is only accessible to trade visitors and media on August 23. Devcom (Gamescom’s developer conference) will be held between Monday, August 21, and Tuesday, August 22, and Gamescom: Opening Night Live will broadcast on the evening of Tuesday, August 22. Where is the 2023 Gamescom?

Gamescom 2023 will take place at Koelnmesse GmbH, the international trade fair and exhibition facility in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. If you are unable to attend the Cologne Fair, there will be digital events taking place throughout the week, including the return of Gamescom Studio, the event’s official live broadcast featuring news, interviews, gameplay demos, and more directly from the showfloor.

Who will participate in Gamescom 2023?

Attendance at Gamescom 2023 is the highest it has ever been. Over a thousand exhibitors will gather at the Koelnmesse for the annual video game exhibition. We are aware that developers such as Remedy Entertainment will be present to showcase Alan Wake 2, and that Xbox will have its largest exhibit to date to showcase anticipated upcoming exclusives. Geoff Keighley will return to Cologne to host Opening Night Live for Gamescom. The exhibit will be presented at the Koelnmesse in Cologne on Tuesday, August 22, and will serve as the event’s kickoff. The 2018 showcase featured over fifty new game announcements and trailers, and 2023 is expected to be even larger.

Xbox Live On the Exhibit Floor

When: August 23, 24, and 25 at 7 a.m. PT, 10 a.m. ET, 3 p.m. BST, and 4 p.m. CEST

Xbox will have its “largest booth to date” at Gamescom 2023, and while that’s fantastic for those physically attending, the company is also planning to stream live coverage from the booth for nine hours over the course of three days. The official announcement states that it will be “a series of streams delving deeper into some of the most anticipated games at gamescom 2023, including gameplay, developer chats, and community segments.”

Future Games Showcase: Gamescom

When: August 23, 11 a.m. PT, 2 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. BST, 8 p.m. CEST

This year’s Future Games Show in August will feature world premieres and new trailers for the most intriguing console, PC, and VR games of 2023 and beyond. While we have yet to announce the host for this year’s event, you can count on FGS to showcase some of the most anticipated video games.

Level Infinite Exhibition: Into the Infinite

When: August 23, 2010 at 10 a.m. PT, 1 p.m. ET, 6 p.m. BST, 7 p.m. CEST

Into the Infinite will be Level Infinite’s first ever exhibition at Gamescom 2023, with updates on some of the publisher’s most anticipated titles. We expect to see more of Arena Breakout, Assassin’s Creed: Codename Jade, GTFO, Stampede: Racing Royale, Synced, and Wayfinder, among others.

Phantom Liberty: Cyberpunk 2077 is distributed by REDstreams

When: August 24 at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET/3 p.m. BST/4 p.m. CEST

The developers of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red, will discuss several new features from the Phantom Liberty expansion and conduct a short Q&A session. Expect information regarding Dogtown’s characters, police systems, new abilities, benefits, and combat. In addition to anything else that may be revealed between now and then.

Panic Games Exhibit

When: August 29, 2010 at 10 a.m. PT, 1 p.m. ET, 6 p.m. BST, 7 p.m. CEST

On August 29, Panic Games will present its first-ever showcase. The company rose to prominence through the publication of games such as Firewatch and Untitled Goose Game, as well as the crank-operated hardware Playdate. Panic claims that it will use this exhibition to “unveil the future of their games publishing roadmap,” so we’re anticipating a couple of shocking revelations.
