Due to the reduced price of oil, petrol prices have remained stable over the past few months, with the national average hovering between $3.50 and $3.60 per gallon.

The average price of a gallon of petrol in Illinois is $3.93. AAA reports that the average price of petrol in Cook County remained higher than the state average on Friday, at approximately $4.33 per gallon.
