Great Harvest Bakery Owner Cause of Death: Pablo Teodoro III, the owner of the Great Harvest Bread Company in Old Town Warrenton, was killed in a car accident on the evening of Wednesday, July 19. On Thursday, his friends and colleagues mourned his passing.

The Great Harvest wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday, “Last night, our courageous leader Pablo was involved in a fatal car accident,” eliciting more than 100 comments of sympathy and condolences.

Teodoro, 57, of Remington, drove his Tesla northbound on James Madison Highway at 6:31 p.m. According to Jeffery Long, a spokesperson for the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office, he struck the side of a tractor-trailer leaving the Quarles truck stop on July 19.

The car of Teodoro collided with the side of the truck and disappeared underneath it. Long stated in a press release that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck, 58-year-old Leroy Kenneth of Leesburg, was cited for negligent driving, according to the announcement.

The death of Teodoro shocked and devastated the Old Town Warrenton merchants on Thursday.

The executive director of Experience Old Town Warrenton, Joelle Leigh Fryman, emailed members upon learning of Teodoro’s passing. “I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart this morning. As we lament his passing, our thoughts and prayers are with his family and the community he dearly loved.”
