Hazaribagh: Collision of heavy vehicles kills two, four injured

As soon as the vehicles which were ahead applied the brakes, other vehicles behind collided with it.

Ramgarh: The driver and co-driver of a heavy vehicle were killed when four heavy vehicles collided with each other at Danua Ghati of NH 2 at Chauparan, Hazaribagh on Thursday. Four others were reported to be injured.  

All four vehicles were loaded with goods. The area where the incident occurred is a steep slope. As soon as the vehicles which were ahead applied the brakes, other vehicles behind collided with it.

The collision of the vehicles was so strong that the driver’s cabin of the rear vehicle entered the other vehicle, killing the driver and the co-driver died. The deceased are yet to be identified.

Occupants of other vehicles suffered minor injuries and were released after providing first aid. The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Hazaribagh for autopsy.
