How Did Kimbo Slice Die: On June 6, 2016, Kevin Ferguson, also referred to as ‘Kimbo Slice,’ passed away. He was an MMA fighter and cult icon. Following the widespread viewing of his home videos depicting backyard knockouts by millions of individuals, he garnered the interest of businesspeople and the media. Soon after achieving internet fame, Kimbo’s legacy and ascent to fame commenced.

Ferguson, born in Nassau, the capital city of the Bahamas, immigrated to the United States at the age of six with his mother and two siblings. The Ferguson family endured hardships in the impoverished and volatile communities of Miami. Ferguson was forced to endure gang violence, drug trafficking, and criminal activity during his childhood and adolescence.

In 1992, Ferguson was an accomplished high school linebacker. He aspired to gain admission to prestigious institutions across the nation, where he could demonstrate his prowess in American football while simultaneously pursuing an academic background. However, the destiny of Ferguson was distinct.

In the same year, Hurricane Andrew, the most destructive storm in Florida history, would irrevocably alter Ferguson’s existence. The hurricane’s aftermath not only caused extensive damage to his family’s residence but also led to the cancellation of the collegiate football draft for that year. Ferguson’s aspirations had suddenly ceased.

Two years later, Ferguson found himself slumbering in the backseat of an abandoned 1987 Nissan Pathfinder, devoid of any prospects in life. This event served as the pivotal moment in Kevin Ferguson’s determination to revive his latent alter persona, which had been inactive since his teenage years. Kimbo Slice came into existence at that instant.

Who is Kimbo Slice?

His upbringing with his mother and two siblings made Ferguson a kind and considerate individual. His personality, however, was not congruent with reality. Although life in the southern region of Florida was challenging, he resolved to confront it head-on. On the inside, he was Ferguson, a cherished son and a benevolent sibling; outside, he was Kimbo, a figure of contempt and reverence.

Ferguson realized what he needed to do when circumstances once more deteriorated: he had to fight back. In fact, that is precisely what he did. Ferguson began his professional life as a bodyguard for a pornography production company and as a bouncer for numerous striptease clubs in Miami. There, Ferguson’s fabricated persona would be reactivated.

Street bare-knuckle battles involving unofficial mutual combat commenced in Ferguson. As individuals started to place bets on these contests, he started to generate profits. The first video features Ferguson striking out an individual identified as “Big D.” Ferguson was given the moniker “Slice” after his opponent suffered a severe laceration to the right brow at the conclusion of the about. He reached the conclusion that while ‘Kimbo Slice’ did not align with his personal taste, ‘Kevin Slice’ did.

A year later, Kimbo Slice would be competing for Elite XC. There, he initiated his most renowned mixed martial arts dispute with professional athlete Ken Shamrock. There, he would have encountered Roy Nelson in a loss and Houston Alexander by decision. After that, Kimbo Slice was given one more opportunity to demonstrate his potential as an MMA fighter of the highest caliber, but his UFC 113 loss to Matt Mitrione effectively ended his career.

Until Kimbo regained his composure and resumed his dominant style, Shamrock consistently pursued a submission throughout the first round. A struggle ensued in his response. The audience was greatly surprised when he delivered a powerful strike to the face, which rendered Shamrock unconscious.
