IIT ISM Photography Club organises photowalk in picturesque Tundi

The photowalk was organized on the concluding day of three days function of World Photography Day.

Six members of Photography Club of IIT ISM Dhanbad along with 14 photographers visited Tundi on Saturday where they clicked photographs of beautiful locales on the banks of river Barakar to mark the 183rd World Photography Day .

Prof Rajni Singh, dean (media and branding) said that the visiting photographers learned the nuances of form and texture of photography from Anil Risal Singh, ex-president, Federation of Indian Photography and  got acquainted with the intricacies of landscape photography from T Kapoor of Associate of India International Photographic Council (AIIPC).

The photographers led by Mukesh Srivastava, former Deputy Director of Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) who is also the President of Dhanbad Camera Club, reached at the serene locales of Tundi situated away from the hustle and bustle of town exploring the different shades of nature including rocks, falls, greenery and other.

IIT (ISM) student Harshit Solanki, one of coordinators of Foto Freaks, said “It was a wonderful experience for all the team members as intermittent drizzles and cloudy weather took nature’s beauty at its peak at the site.”

A tribal model, Sunita Soren also accompanied the team during the trip and the students clicked her photographs at the site.

The three-days event was launched on August 18 with the National Photo Contest held at the Golden Jubilee Lecture Theatre at IIT (ISM) during which Anil Risal Singh, T Kapoor and Mukesh Srivatava acted as judges. Over 100 participants made their entry in photo exhibition contest.

On August 19, the photo exhibition was organized while on the last day (today) the photowalk was held in Tundi.
