Jamshedpur: India Meteorological Department issued an alert of thunder showers activity at many places across Jharkhand on Wednesday. Weathermen said a cyclonic circulation was developing over southern Jharkhand at 3.1 Km above the mean sea level.
“The cyclonic system would result in formation of convective clouds. We are expecting thunder activity at many places over the state today,” said a duty officer at Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
Today, the monsoon trough was passing through Bikaner, Jaipur, Guna, Daltonganj, Purulia and Digha. The general forecast for Wednesday suggest few spells of rain or thundershowers over Jharkhand.
Meanwhile , the state’s rain deficit has reached 49 per cent.
Against a normal of 380.6 mm, Jharkhand as a whole so far received 193.2 mm resulting in a rain deficit of 49 per cent.
