Donald Trump Jr.’s social media account on X, formerly known as Twitter, was compromised early Wednesday morning, resulting in a series of offensive tweets and a false death announcement for his father. The incident sent shockwaves through social media, eliciting numerous responses.

The hack began with a tweet from Don Jr.’s account at 8:25 a.m. claiming fraudulently that his father, Donald Trump, had passed away. I will seek the presidency in 2024.” This shocking message was followed by an onslaught of evidently hacked posts.

One of the incendiary tweets stated, “North Korea is about to get smoked,” while another falsely depicted Don Jr. discussing “interesting messages with Jeffrey Epstein,” despite Epstein’s passing in 2019.

Many users speculated that Don Jr.’s account had been compromised following the fraudulent report of Donald Trump’s death. The term “Hacked” began trending on Twitter as users discussed the situation.

However, to affirm that he was alive and well, former President Donald Trump posted an unrelated message on his own social media platform, Truth Social, at 8:46 a.m., more than 30 minutes after the hoax announcement.
