The Jharkhand Tourism Policy 2021 was unveiled by Chief Minister Hemant Soren and other officials in New Delhi on Saturday. The new policy aims to attract public as well as private investors to invest in Jharkhand and promote its tourism.
Amitabh Kaushal, Secretary, Department of Home, Jail & Disaster Management (Disaster Management) explained that the new Policy’s objectives are economic development, employment generation and sustainable development.
He added that the key strategic points of the new policy are participation by private sectors, infrastructure development, public investment in hospitality, community participation and promotion and branding.

Explaining the fiscal investment, he said that it will be done through the single window system and incentives will be provided as well to private and public investors.
Some of the key incentive-related details which he gave were capital investment subsidy, reimbursement of GST, no holding tax to be charged for five years and special consideration to be given to ST, SC and physically handicapped people.
