Family Background

Jordan Travis was born on May 2, 2000, into the family of Tony and Tammy Travis. The parents of the Heisman hopeful would want to stay out of the spotlight. Travis’s mother is unknown, however several accounts state that his father played football for the University of Cincinnati and the Canadian Football League.

Travis’s siblings’ origins are more known than his own, despite the fact that nothing is known about his parents. Travis’s older brother, Devon, played baseball for the Florida State Seminoles before he became a quarterback (via ESPN). The original ESPN article claimed that Travis looked up to his bigger brother as a child.

Devon Travis was, by all accounts, a very talented baseball player. Tallahassee.com states that he was a former All-American for the Noles. Devon Travis was proud of his brother’s achievements thus far:

What makes me most proud is that he is taking advantage of the opportunity to give it his all on the pitch with every play. It has been very cool, and I am happy for him that he has finally been given one.

Travis’s sisters are athletes as well. While his older sister, Jaida, was a two-time All-American basketball player at Nova Southeastern University, his younger sister, Janae, is reportedly an athlete in track and field.
