Professional Career

The Oakland Raiders selected Jacobs with the 24th overall selection in the initial round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Jacobs was selected with one of the first-round selections acquired from the Chicago Bears in September 2018 via the Khalil Mack trade. He signed a four-year rookie contract with the organization on July 9, 2019.

Jacobs made his NFL début on Monday, Week 1, against the Denver Broncos during Monday Night Football. Jacobs carried the ball 23 times for 85 yards and two touchdowns in the 24-16 victory, in addition to catching one pass for 28 yards.

The following game, which the Raiders lost 28-10 to the Kansas City Chiefs, he rushed 12 times for 99 yards. Three weeks later, Andrew Jacobs rushed 26 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’s 24-21 victory over the Chicago Bears.

He also gained 20 yards by grabbing three passes. The first touchdown of the new stadium occurred on one of those plays. He accumulated 124 yards on 21 carries in a 42-24 road loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 7.

Two weeks later, Jacobs accumulated 120 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries in a 31-24 victory over the Detroit Lions. Jacobs surpassed Marcus Allen’s previous mark of 697 all-around carrying yards set by the Raiders in his rookie season after just eight games.

In the Thursday Night Football contest that followed, Jacobs ran for 71 yards and scored the game-winning touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers. Additionally, he caught five receptions for 30 yards. In Week 11 of the season, Jacobs accumulated 112 yards on 23 carries in a 17-10 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
