According to his father, Jovit had recently experienced a moderate hemorrhagic stroke, following a month-long recovery from another cerebrovascular accident.
His final public appearance occurred at a Christmas party in Batangas City, where he was rushed to the hospital after becoming gravely ill. Unfortunately, he entered a coma shortly thereafter.
On social media, the community and his acquaintances, including Limuel Llanes, rallied in support as word of his condition spread.
They solicited financial assistance and supplication to aid Jovit, who was in critical condition in a coma after a surgical procedure.
