Kundapur, Jul 16: A bus got into a two feet deep pothole filled with water as a result of which the driver of the vehicle lost control and drove the bus on the road divider for more than 300 meters before coming to a halt. This incident occurred at Koravadi Cross near Kumbhasi on Saturday.

A private bus that was plying from Mumbai to Mangaluru is the one which fell into the deep pothole. As the bus was traveling at a high speed, the driver lost control and went on the divider for around 300 meters. Presence of mind of the driver prevented the bus from tilting and falling on one side.

The bus is now stationed on the divider in front of Kannukere Masjid. More than 40 passengers were in the bus. All had a providential escape. No injuries were reported.
