Late Chef Bill Granger’s Daughter Shares His Passion: Bill Granger, a famous Australian cook, died on Christmas Day. His daughter seems to be following in her dad’s ways.

The well-liked restaurant owner “died peacefully” on Monday at the age of 54 in a London hospital. His family broke the sad news on Instagram earlier today.

He is survived by his wife Natalie Elliot and their three girls, Edie, 22, Inès, 20, and Bunny, 19.

Late Chef Bill Granger’s Daughter Shares His Passion

It is thought that the cook lost his fight with cancer after being told he had it a few months ago.

“A loving husband and father, Bill passed away peacefully in hospital with his wife Natalie Elliott and their three daughters, Edie, Ines, and Bunny, by his side in London, where they had made their home,” the post said.

“He will be missed by many, but his loved ones will feel it the most. They are thankful for all the love and support that has been shown.”

He wrote “I love you dadda” on the touching post from his middle daughter Inès.

The 20-year-old seems to be cooking like her father did, as her Instagram page is full of pictures of delicious food she has made over the years.

The page shows how much she loves cooking by showing pictures of a wide range of tasty meals, including Mexican feasts, Italian dishes, Asian treats, and rich desserts.

Some new recipes that Inès has made are vegetable curry udon with oyster mushrooms, onion, eggplant, zucchini, peppers, and ricotta; spinach and ricotta ravioli with butter, pan-fried sage leaves, and parmesan; and lentil soup with parmesan on top and a warm mozzarella bread sandwich to go with it.

The girl was also in charge of cooking for her family’s Christmas Day lunch the previous year.

“Made Christmas lunch,” she wrote with a picture of the huge amount of food she had made.

“Ham with a glaze, chopped salad with avocado, bell pepper, sweet corn, and asparagus, potato salad with parsley, pickles, and mustard dressing (no mayo), and a green salad with lettuce, cucumber, fennel, white wine vinegar, and olive oil.”

On top of going to the City & Guilds of London Art School (CGLAS), Inès often shares her other art projects on Instagram.

A picture of a cute Father’s Day card she made for her dad with a fried egg pattern and the words “Best sous chef ever” was shared by her in June.

When he was younger, her dad started an arts degree but dropped out to open his first restaurant, Bills, in Darlinghurst, Sydney, when he was 21 years old.

He learned to cook on his own and went on to become a famous restaurant owner and food writer with a career that lasted more than 30 years.

He and his wife Natalie started working together, which helped the business grow all over the world. They worked together to make a business that now has 19 restaurants in Sydney, London, Greater Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Seoul.

Granger wrote 14 cookbooks and created five TV shows. In January 2023, she was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia.

A lot of people have said nice things about Granger, who has lived in Notting Hill, London, since 2009.

He said the news was “devastating” and that he would be “sorely missed” in a comment on the Instagram post.

“What a nice guy he was…” a wonderful person with a calm, kind heart… I liked everything about him when it came to food.

He was so nice the first time I met him, a long time ago. His food was also very good.

Darren Robertson, an Australian cook and co-owner of the Three Blue Ducks cafes, wrote that Granger “changed the whole breakfast game and was a gentleman.”
