Legend Jack Nicholson Illness: Nicholson, Jack Acting star Jack Nicholson has been gone for nearly a year, rumoured to be suffering from dementia. The 85-year-old actor was last spotted at the Staples Centre, where he was watching a Lakers game with his son.

The film’s director is well-seasoned in the business and has a reputation for being a smartass. Nicholson has reportedly declined numerous cameo roles in films like Ready Player One on the grounds that he would have trouble remembering his lines.

His friends and family have gotten more worried about his isolation over the past decade. RadarOnline said that several anonymous sources said Nicholson was well taken care of by his son and daughter.

An insider told the magazine, “Jack keeps in touch with certain relatives — especially Ray, his protégé, of whom he is so proud.” Nicholson has been likened to the late actor Marlon Brando, who passed away in 2004.

His kids are the only ones that pay him a visit and keep him in the loop about the world outside. Nicholson’s care for Brando in the years before his death and his purchase of the actor’s home after his death were acts of respect.

Nicholson became famous thanks to films like “The Shining,” “The Departed,” and “A Few Good Men.” He is widely regarded as one of Hollywood’s top actors and is one of just two men to have won three Oscars for acting.

Nicholson has been hailed as a great of the acting world, with one critic even dubbing him “the most skilled actor of our lifetime” (Ruth Simmons of Brown University).
