Goodman began his career as a professional dancer in the decades prior to his TV work, commencing on April 25, 1944, in London, where he was born. In addition to Strictly Come Dancing, Goodman hosted a number of other television programs, including the BBC specials Len Goodman’s Dance Band Days and Len Goodman’s Perfect Christmas.
