As many as 12 districts including Chatra, Deoghar, Giridih, Godda, Hazaribagh, Pakur, Palamu, Sahibganj and Ramgarh were facing the threat of drought as all such districts so far received scanty rainfall wherein the rain deficit ranges between 60 and 99 per cent.
All the other districts including the capital Ranchi, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Jamtara, Khunti, Koderma and three districts under Kolhan – East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Seraikela- Kharsawan district still figures in the rain losers list.
