Machado Purposely Found A Method To Aid The Padres: Manny Machado, an outfielder for the San Diego Padres, underwent surgery on Tuesday, October 3 to repair the extensor tendon in his right elbow. The crucial question is when, if ever, Manny Machado will be able to play baseball again.

According to Bernie Wilson of the Associated Press, the operation was conducted by Dodgers team physician Dr. Neal ElAttrache. The estimated timeframe for Manny Machado’s recovery is between four and six months.

Initially, Machado resisted undergoing surgery. ESPN announced on September 29 that the Padres were eliminated from playoff contention in part due to this.
