Madonna’s Celebration Tour Postponed: Guy Oseary, Madonna’s manager, announced on Instagram that the “Celebration” tour, originally scheduled to begin in Vancouver on July 15, has been delayed.
“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna was hospitalised for several days due to a severe bacterial infection,” he wrote. “Her health is improving, but she continues to receive medical attention. A complete recovery is anticipated.
“At this moment, we must suspend all obligations, including the tour. We will update you as soon as we have more information, including a new tour start date and rescheduled performances.”
The 64-year-old vocalist will showcase her remarkable musical voyage over the past four decades on a grand global tour.
The 43-city world tour, which is scheduled to continue into the beginning of next year, seeks to showcase her extensive music collection and pay tribute to New York, where her musical journey began.
The tour is being produced by Live Nation and is scheduled to visit cities such as Detroit, Chicago, New York, Miami, and Los Angeles before heading to Europe. In the autumn, the European leg of the tour will visit eleven locations, including London, Barcelona, Paris, and Stockholm.
The tour is expected to return to North America for a second series of performances, concluding on January 20, 2024, after concluding its European leg in London on December 6.
