Mark Sheehan Cause of Death: What happened to him?

He was 46 years old. The band said in a statement that he was a much liked husband, father, brother, friend, and bandmate.

Mark Sheehan Cause of Death: Mark Sheehan, a guitarist and co-founder of the Irish pop-rock band The Script, died on April 14, 2023. He was 46 years old. The band said in a statement that he was a much liked husband, father, brother, friend, and bandmate.

Many of his fans and friends were shocked when they heard the news. They were quick to honor his life and work. How did he die? That’s the question. Here’s what we know so far.

Mark Sheehan Cause of Death

Sheehan passed away in the hospital after a short sickness, but the band didn’t say anything else about what caused his death. “Brief illness” can mean a lot of different health problems, from infections to diseases that will kill you.

Because cancer is often found late and spreads quickly, some fans thought that Sheehan might have had it. The band hasn’t said anything about it, and there’s no proof to back up the claim.

After getting married to Rina in 2006, Sheehan raised their three children with a lot of love. He often thanked his family and said nice things about them in interviews and online writings. In 2020, he chose to not go on the band’s US tour so he could spend more time with his family.

Danny O’Donoghue, a longtime friend and bandmate, supported his choice and said that Sheehan was the main force behind The Script. During this hard time, the Sheehan family has politely asked for privacy.

Sheehan was a great singer and guitarist in Mytown, a Universal Records-signed boy band. He formed The Script with O’Donoghue and drummer Glen Power in 2001. All over the world, “Breakeven,” “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” and “Hall of Fame” were big hits for the band.

The band has sold more than 20 million songs and has garnered numerous accolades, including two World Music Awards and three Meteor Ireland Music Awards.

Sheehan worked with Mary J. Blige, Britney Spears, Paul McCartney, and other artists as a musician and producer. One of the best musicians of his time, he contributed greatly to the band’s sound.

Sheehan’s life and music will be celebrated at two memorial concerts in Wolverhampton and Blackpool in June 2023. As O’Donoghue said, they need to be a big family right now and he begged everyone to help.

In addition, he said he will temporarily shut down his own accounts and will only post show footage to the band’s official account. To honor Sheehan’s life and work, the band and fans are preparing unforgettable shows.
