Sudo successfully defended her championship title by consuming 39 and the renowned contest before a typhoon forced the cancellation of the men’s event. Who is Miki Sudo?

Miki Sudo has nine Nathan’s titles to his name. She has the world record for consuming six hot dogs in one minute. She is 37 years old and from Port Richey, Florida. “39 is a small number, I apologise!” Sudo said. “I would not have left a partially consumed hot dog on the table.”

Originally, Sudo intended to consume 50 hotdogs today, but the heat and humidity appeared to take a toll on all of the competitors. Her personal best stands at 48 hot dogs.

In 2014, she dethroned Sonya Thomas, who had won the women’s tournament since its inception in 2011.

She was born to an American mother of European descent and a Japanese father. She moved to Japan with her family when she was five years old and resided there for seven years before returning to the United States.

In 2021, she was unable to compete due to her pregnancy. However, she returned to reclaim her throne a year ago and has been unbeaten ever since.
