Michigan Lottery: When a Lotto 47 ticket that was purchased in Cadillac recently won the game’s $4.37 million jackpot, a worker from Amvets Post 110 who had sold some of the tickets at the place where the jackpot was won called a guy from Wexford County who was 71 years old.
According to the Michigan Lottery, the employee was aware that the individual, who wished to remain anonymous, had purchased some of the tickets and suggested that he check on them.
The individual made the following statement to the Michigan Lottery: “While I was at Amvets, I purchased five Lotto 47 tickets.” It was the following day when I received a phone call from the employee who had sold me the tickets. He informed me that I needed to check my tickets since they had sold a jackpot winner. After looking up the winning numbers, I checked my ticket, and sure enough, I was the lucky winner of the lottery. “I am still unable to believe it!”

On January 20, the winning numbers were drawn, and the ticket matched those numbers: 8, 23, 26, 31, 36, and 40.
Upon collecting his reward, the individual decided to take a one-time lump sum payment of around $3 million rather than receiving annuity payments for the entire amount paid out.
He intends to put the money aside for his retirement in the future.
