Miss Alabama 2024: Why is Sara Milliken being brutally trolled?

Milliken admitted that when she was younger she competed in beauty contests just for the title and the glamor.

Miss Alabama 2024: Sara Milliken, a 23-year-old plus-size model, was crowned Miss Alabama over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. She was overjoyed when she won the National American Miss pageant, but her joy was short-lived when vicious trolls began quickly to mock the winner about her appearance.

Why is she being trolled?

As she gets ready for the national final, which will be held in Florida over Thanksgiving, she is determined not to let the harsh criticism stop her. She stated that she was surprised to learn that she placed in the top 10 after failing to do so the previous two times she competed.

Milliken stated, “Just making it to the top 10 was my goal, ya know.” She added, “I could leave the weekend saying I was better than I was the year before, and it’s all about bettering yourself for me.” However, once she reached the top five, she kept climbing until she and another contestant were the only two remaining.

She was absolutely amazing all weekend, and it came down to the top two and my first runner-up,” Milliken stated. “I was like, ‘alright, I can certainly say that the entire top five, yet particularly the best two will be two astounding, achieved ladies.'” She also has a message for young women to convey now that she is carrying her crown. “Regardless of what your body resembles, regardless of where you come from, you can do anything you put your energy into,” Milliken said.

Her Response to trolls

She encouraged others to show kindness in a social media post. Milliken said she’s honored to be experiencing her fantasy. She is now scheduled to compete in the November national finals in Orlando. She uncovered that triumphant the NAM Miss Alabama challenge was a fantasy eight years really taking shape.

In her Exhibition Planet profile, Milliken uncovered she needed to be the main hefty estimated NAM Miss Alabama. She stated, “I plan to break glass ceilings in pageantry to create a path for other women to pursue their dreams – regardless of their shape or size.” Milliken acknowledged that when she was younger, she participated in beauty contests solely for the purpose of winning and looking good.

After retiring for seven years, she resumed her participation in beauty pageants. Milliken paid tribute to Alexandria Joseph, her predecessor who won the title of 2023 NAM Miss Alabama. She complimented her on her rule and said: “I could never have requested a superior individual to put this crown on my head and I have such a lot of adoration for her too.” The NAM Miss Ohio, Emily Zawodny, stated that she cannot wait to meet Milliken at the Orlando finals.
